About Me

All the memories here are true, but consider that

“Everyone forgets how seldom our memory is accurate. Having more memory is just a way of distorting a greater amount of the past”

-Craig Clevenger

I am not an expert in all things punk, in particular the bands I have been in.  This includes

The Reign of Lee Kwan

Short Dogs Grow (you can find out more at http://www.shortdogsgrow.com)

Wolfticket

Cameltoe

Hellfire Choir

Cookie Mongoloid

Chainbreaker

This Machine Kills Fascists

Psychology of Genocide

Gang of Forty

The Meat Sluts

The Rhythm Furies

Three Stoned Women

The Slapmatics

I subbed for one gig for Bimbo Toolshed and Stone Fox, and played one gig with the Hippie Girls

    • oh yeah i was at that show at new method and thought short dogs grow were really good and left that show feeling like we were all on the verge of breaking some kind of new ground and was very exited at what the future might hold…

  2. Thank you for this blog. It brings back many memories (some a bit fuzzy). I live in NC now but lived in the Bay Area during the 80s (including in the Tenderloin) and saw many a show at Mabuhay Gardens, the Farm, etc. Looking forward to more of your writings. Cheers.

  3. Hi. I played bass in Electric Love Muffin. You gave me a haircut once in Detroit, on the 4th of July. Then some guy drove a car through the front of the club (Greystone?) and the club promoter pulled a gun and threatened to kill him. Fun stuff! Enjoyed your writing

    • Hi Brian, Nice to hear from you! I’ll have to post a story from that night. That was one of the craziest, fun nights of tour….I’ll have to get your feedback on the story..I bet we remember different things but I certainly remember cutting your hair and hearing the crash. I think is was the Greystone and the promoter’s name was “Scary” I think.
